We welcome you to our splendid old stone barn and manor house, now a charming bed and breakfast facility in the heart of the Dordogne river region. Our passion for great food and wine, incredible scenery, history and the French way of living drew us here, and we'll love being your hosts and sharing with you our enthusiasm for this beautiful part of the Périgord.

Our five guest rooms each feature a large and wonderfully comfortable queen-size bed, Italian-made bed linens, and a luxurious private bathroom. Our three downstairs rooms have spacious, walk-in showers and the two upstairs rooms have large tub/showers. On-site features include a swimming pool, large pétanque court and a wooded trail to our ancient stone pigeon tower, "La Tour de Cause," and free WiFi access for those who must keep in contact with the outside world.

Guest Salon: Lending library, comfortable reading chairs, local literature and maps, powerful WiFi connection and a food prep area with communal fridge, sink, bottle openers and wineglasses, knives and cutting boards -- all you'll need to prepare yourself a light courtyard lunch or supper with market goods like cheese, meats and pastries you've picked up along the way.

Breakfast: A continental breakfast is served 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. daily, in our spacious kitchen. In addition to fresh-baked breads and pastries from the award-winning local bakery, we serve fresh local fruits in season, yogurts and dry cereals, juice, tea, and Albert's famous American-style coffee.

Parking: Front-gate car access allows easy delivery and pick-up of passengers and baggage, with private parking available at the back of the property.

Smoke-free rooms: We respectfully request absolutely NO indoor smoking. And if you must smoke, please do so AWAY from any doors and windows.

Trip Preparation: Be sure to visit our new Amazon shopping site before your trip, for our recommended Maps, Guides and reading material -- you'll be inspired! Click here: La Tour de Cause Shopping Spree

The "Perigord Noir" area of France is magically beautiful, rich in history and natural beauty. Explore castles from the Middle Ages, wander through quaint little villages and towns, hike through rolling hills, swim, canoe and kayak in the Dordogne River and visit farms and markets. Our fine local restaurants feature the rich, local cuisine of the Perigord, with specialties of duck, foie gras, walnuts and goat cheese, but it's easy to take a night off and enjoy a light meal at a casual restaurant as well. Better yet, choose some fruits, cheese, bread and wine from a local market and take a meal in our courtyard, by the pool, or next to the beautiful Céou river which runs just 100 meters from our front door.

We'll do our very best to accommodate your individual needs, and we strive to make your visit a memorable one. Please email or call us with any questions. Our contact information is located on our contact page.

We look forward to your visit.

Your hosts,
